Hello from Collective Idea, the new home of Harmony.

As friends of the Ordered List team for many years, and early beta users, we’ve long had a soft spot in our heart for Harmony. After Ordered List was acquired by Github, we wanted to ensure that Harmony would continue to receive the time and care that such a great product deserves. We’re very excited that we now have the opportunity, as we have acquired Harmony from GitHub.

Our long friendship with Ordered List and GitHub means we know the application well and can happily take it to great places.

We have plans to improve Harmony. Overall we love it and don’t want to do anything drastic. We’re sure many of you also have big ideas, and we want to hear from you. We want to make your sites better, faster, and more productive. Don’t hesitate to let us know your suggestions using the Feedback link in the app.

We ask that you help us during the transition. We expect no downtime or problems, but it will take us some time to get fully acquainted with the code and with your questions. Your patience is appreciated as we work hard to earn your continued business.

Same sentiment as Elliott. I’d love to see Harmony return to communicative, active development.

That’s exactly what we’re going for. I hope we can exceed your expectations!

Hey, great to hear Harmony will live and thrive!

At Lucid Design, we’ve also been using Harmony since early days and have over thirty sites running on it so keen to see it develop. I look forward to hearing more about your plans.

    Hello Collective Idea,

I’d hate to say it, but I was actually very excited about the Github ownership because Harmony seriously lacks version control and which can be intensely frustrating at times. However, I’m very glad that Harmony has folks behind it that want what’s best for it. It really is a wonderful CMS and it’s a pleasure to work with when I’m not desperately needing to revert to a previous version. :)

Marie, versioning is definitely high on our list. I’m sorry you’re stuck needing a previous version. We hope to avoid this issue in the future.
